Ready Colorado Business Outreach

"Ready Colorado" is a part of the Urban Area Security Initiative to create an educational portion that will help prepare people for all hazard disasters. Within Ready Colorado is the business outreach sub-committee.

The business outreach sub-committee has been charged with preparing businesses for any all-hazard condition that could arise. With this in mind the committee is attempting to reach both large and small business for the opportunity to make their tenants aware of the preparedness necessary for successful culmination of an all-hazards problem.

The outreach committee is offering and making a request at the same time. The request is for businesses to tell us what kind of actual help they need in the realm of training, presentations, etc. What the committee is offering is the opportunity to have people in the field of preparedness set up booths or tables at your facility and be available to hand out and explain how to handle various hazards and to also answer questions on these issues. Presentations are also available for your staff and/or tenants. The committee is designing a specific business program to address awareness and Continuity of Operations within the private sector.

Anyone wishing to express their views on what business needs for preparedness or to have the Business Outreach team either do a presentation or set up a table to hand out information and explain or answer questions in your company or building, please contact Joe Gargan, Brookfield Properties at 303-595-7029 or jgargan@Brookfieldproperties.com

Joe,

Businesses have a critical role in preparedness. Not only do they need to make sure that business can continue, they also must be prepared to assist employees. I'm glad you are heading the charge.
